Fractal Scanner

The Fractal Scanner features two modes of operation.  First is fractal-formation mode, which notifies the trader when a new fractal is formed.  An UP fractal sends a BUY signal.  A DOWN fractal sends a SELL signal.  These are not intended as buy or sell signals, simply notifications that the fractal was formed.

The second mode of operation is the fractal break mode.  This provides real-time signals of when fractals have been broken.  If an UP fractal is broken, the scanner will generate a BUY signal.  If a DOWN fractal is broken, the scanner will generate a SELL signal.

The scanner can use the following filters:

• Unfiltered – any fully formed fractal will be used.
• RSI 50 filtered – UP fractals formed when RSI is above 50 will be used.  DN fractals formed when RSI is below 50 will be used. Any other will be ignored.
• RSI Overbought/Oversold filtered – UP fractals formed when RSI is above the overbought level and DN fractals formed when RSI is below the oversold level will be used. Any other will be ignored.
• Baseline moving average filtered – UP fractals formed above the MA will generate and  DN fractals formed below the MA will be used. Any other will be ignored.
• ADX threshold filtered – Any fractal formed when ADX is above the user defined threshold will be used. All others will be ignored.

Scanners require Swiss Army Knife for display of signals and alerts.
